About Aiwee

Mandarin Speech Pathologist North Western Melbourne

Aiwee received her Master of Speech Pathology from the University of Melbourne, and is a Certified Practicing Speech-Language Pathologist. She has a passion for helping families and children achieve their speech, language and communication goals and has worked extensively with pre-school children and school-aged students (1-18 years) presenting with communication, social, articulation and language difficulties. She enjoys learning more about therapy techniques, and has completed training in Hanen It Takes Two to Talk, DIR Floortime Sounds Write literacy program, AAC (LAMP), Talk 4 Writing and Multisensory Structured Language (MSL) education.

Aiwee's experience includes working for primary schools, private practice clinics, a children's hospital, community health and Early Children Intervention Services. She is experienced working with culturally and linguistically diverse clients, bilingual children, children with Autism and Dyslexia. She continues to maintain clinical roles as a clinical educator for the Andrew Dean Fildes Foundation and as an assessor for funding applications for public schools in Victoria.

Apart from her main working roles, Aiwee enjoys providing clinical supervision to speech pathology students and also providing support to non-profit and voluntary initiatives through directly working with children in need or providing pro-bono consultation to set up language and literacy programs. When Aiwee is not working, she spends time with her family and her cat (who enjoys eating and being brushed), and is also looking forward to spending time training her dog to be a therapy dog!
